Volunteer Programs JAIPUR

Live your Experience … Come to Jaipur as a Volunteer

Volunteering & Travel Taj Mahal and Pushkar

The origins of the city of Jaipur, the beautiful capital of the state of Rajasthan, date back to the reign of Jai Singh II, which ascended to the “amber throne” in 1699. Despite becoming a metropolis, it still retains its character and history: A beautiful fusion of yesteryear and modernity. Jaipur is popularly known as the Pink City for the extensive use of pink in honor of the visit of Queen Victoria’s royal consort. Part of the Golden Triangle of tourism in India, this jewel is one of the most visited and photographed cities in the world. Famous places like the Wind Palace, the Amber Fort or the Water Palace keep tourists glued to the city.

Jaipur is the city where it all started for us; Here is the headquarters of our NGO in India, and where our orphanage project for 100 girls with HIV is located. It is clear that we have a special affection for Jaipur… But in reality it is a fairly quiet and comfortable city, highly recommended for volunteering.

SELECTED PROGRAMS

You will work hand in hand with local NGOs in different projects. In many cases you can choose where to work; urban areas, slums, government schools … And in Health and Dentist programs, in addition to your volunteering you will obtain a certificate of internship.

A day of a Volunteer

The volunteers who will live with you come from all over the world and are very different people. But the fact of sharing this profound experience, prints the house of volunteers with a warm atmosphere of companionship and friendship that is perceived as soon as you land. It is something close, something special.

Thus, among friends, your day begins with a breakfast in the dining room before leaving for your project, where they will receive you with open arms since the volunteers are highly valued and respected in India. You will work approx. from 9 to 12.30 or 13:00. A lunch, some free time, and again to work, which is nothing but a hugely rewarding time where your help will report more to you than to them.

In the afternoons, already back at the volunteer house, you will have free time to visit the city or carry out the cultural immersion activities of the program. And on weekends … free to rest, or to travel!

ACCOMMODATION

The House of Volunteers of Jaipur is ideally located for the participants in the projects; a residential area near the center, with shops, restaurants, hospital, transportation, etc. It has rooms for 1 to 4 people with a cooler and bathroom, living rooms and common dining room, satellite TV, free Wi-Fi internet, washing machine with clothesline, refrigerators, bookstore, lockers, etc. And always under the supervision and attention of the coordinator. Everything so that you are at ease.
About food, Indian dishes are prepared that do, itch a little, but you will surely love them. Rice, legumes, wheat chapati, vegetables, chicken and lamb. 3 meals are included every day.

And if you want a more intense cultural immersion experience, you can also stay in a host family. Very hospitable, they are a safe, comfortable and culturally enriching option for a volunteer in India. Our network of selected families with extensive experience are middle-class, with children and / or dependents, and their homes are located near basic services such as markets, public transport and shopping centers.

Thus is the travel we propose you…
are you really going to leave it for later??

If there is a monument to love, it is undoubtedly the magnificent TajMahal, exquisite white marble mausoleum built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife. One of the Seven Wonders of the World. Experience a splendid view of sunrise or sunset at the TajMahal. And also visit the great Red Fort.

PUSHKAR
One of the most sacred pilgrimages for Hindus and the only place in India where the temple of the God “Creator” is located, Brahma. Colorful markets and 500 temples around the sacred lake, where the ashes of Ghandi were deposited and the pilgrims bathe in their Ghats. And in the afternoon, to the desert in Camels!
